Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a well-established Pharmaceutical organisation. They are currently looking to strengthen their Commercial team through the appointment of a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development.
SVP of Business Development – Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the oversight of all Sales & Business Development and Marketing activities for the organisation
- Build Sales team personnel and resources as needed, and train new team members
- Identify new business areas to break into and develop the company further
- Develop and maintain long term client relationships through the use of existing networks and other sales tools, resulting in the expansion of client base
- Collaborate with members of the Commercial team to ensure an excellent client experience across all client interactions, from needs assessment through to delivery and follow up
- Collaborate effectively with the Marketing team to develop marketing strategies to attract and retain clients, and build awareness of company capabilities and services to generate revenue
- Negotiate contracts & agreements, and generate client proposals and bids
- Identify and attend key conferences for the purpose of growing company visibility
SVP of Business Development – Requirements:
- Professional work experience within a Commercial function including Sales/Business Development & Key Account Management
- Experience leading Commercial teams
- Strong ability to build and grow networks of connections with people of all types and backgrounds
- Proven track record of establishing strategic partnerships
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Independent critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Comfortable and confident using technology as an integral part of the sales process
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once
