Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a globally recognised, leading CDMO. They are currently looking to strengthen their Commercial team through the appointment of a Senior Business Development Manager, who will be instrumental for Sales and Business Development in the Midwest region.
Senior Business Development Manager – Responsibilities:
- Manage sales activities and business plan for the Midwest Region; review monthly sales making sure the annual budget is on track and prepare/present forecasted annual sales when required
- Responsible for establishing the annual sales budget for approval
- Develop new key accounts, especially the GMP accounts including NCE and generic products
- Provide current market information of latest GMP opportunities and trends to the production team and leadership
- Identify strategic trade shows and sales events and organize high level alliances with distributors and advisors in the Midwest Region which relate to sales activities, etc.
- Work with Marketing as needed for new product releases, website development, etc.
- Work with other members of the team to reach the sales goals approved by leadership
- Participate, or support annual conferences as required whether in the USA or abroad
- Create and present sales presentations to executive level clients
Senior Business Development Manager – Requirements:
- Life Science degree – Chemistry, Biology or similar
- Minimum 2 years selling peptides, API’s or small molecules with CDMO experience, preferably in the East Coast / Midwest areas
- Possess professional work experience in a Commercial function, including Sales/Business Development and Key Account Management
- Demonstrate experience in leading Commercial teams
- Excel at building and expanding networks with individuals from diverse backgrounds and industries
- Prove a track record of establishing successful strategic partnerships
- Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Exhibit independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
- Feel comfortable and confident using technology as an essential component of the sales process
- Be highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously
