Mantell Associates is partnered with an innovative Biotechnology organisation, who are searching for a Field Sales Specialist to drive sales across North America by leveraging expertise in RNA and mRNA technologies and managing the complete lead-to-cash cycle.

Field Sales Specialist – Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic lead generation plans to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, focusing on RNA and mRNA synthesis solutions
  • Source and qualify new leads through proactive outreach, including follow-ups and targeted email campaigns
  • Manage the complete lead-to-cash process, ensuring smooth progression from initial contact to final sale, coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales operations to align lead generation initiatives and optimize conversion rates
  • Engage in team selling, working closely with colleagues in sales, technical support, and product management to create comprehensive solutions for clients
  • Lead educational seminars and client-focused events to foster interest and strengthen relationships in relevant biotech markets
  • Contribute to diverse business operations and projects, demonstrating flexibility and initiative typical of a small company environment
  • Maintain and track customer interactions and sales progress using Salesforce.com
  • Relay customer feedback to influence product development and sales strategies
  • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders to support long-term growth

 

Field Sales Specialist – Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ Degree or equivalent experience required in biology or life sciences
  • Sales methodology education in Strategic Selling, Miller Heiman, Challenger Selling or other formalized sales methodology
  • 5-10 years of successful sales or marketing experience in the biotech industry, with RNA/mRNA expertise and lead-to-cash management experience
  • Proven experience in team-based selling, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong background in capital equipment sales within regulated and non-regulated spaces, particularly in vaccine development, cell and gene therapy, and enzyme evolution
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com for managing leads and generating sales reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with adaptability and a collaborative mindset essential for a small company setting
  • Track record of implementing AI tools into you daily work and selling effectiveness
