Mantell Associates is exclusively partnered with a Cell Therapy CDMO in their search for an Associate Director of Supply Chain, Logistics to oversee material and inventory control as well as warehouse operations.
Associate Director of Supply Chain, Logistics – Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize material flow and inventory control processes across the organization
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and robust inventory management systems
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, kitting, and shipping to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with manufacturing, procurement, planning, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on business goals
- Champion a culture of collaboration and proactive communication to resolve warehouse and logistics challenges effectively
- Apply operational excellence principles (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth
- Build succession plans to ensure the continuity of expertise in logistics operations
Associate Director of Supply Chain, Logistics – Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific or engineering discipline
- Graduate studies and/or certification in supply chain management is a plus
- 8+ years of progressive experience in logistics, material control, and warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in leadership
- Experience in a GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment; Cell Therapy (preferred) or large molecule CDMOs
- Proven track record leading growing warehouse operations and driving inventory management excellence
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms
- Working knowledge of operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across functions
- Broad understanding of GMP quality systems and procedures
- On-site presence is required to facilitate real-time collaboration and ensure operational effectiveness
